Frombork is a tourist and agricultural commune. It is situated in the north - western part of the Province of Warmia and Mazury, in the County of Braniewo. Frombork is situated by The Vistula Bay at the borderland between Highland of Elbląg and the Warmian Lowland. It borders the following municipalities: Braniewo, Płoskinia, Młynary and Tolkmicko.
The national road No. 22 Elbląg - Kaliningrad are among the roads running through the area of the commune.
Thanks to the port, it is provide with water route connection both with Krynica Morska.
The Town and Commune of Frombork has a population of around 4 thousand (including over 2,5 thousand in the actual Frombork).
